Hi everyone. A weekend car for LatinAmerica in 2022. This is my Master Thesis Project at Pforzheim University, sponsored by FIAT. Differently of my last two main projects in school, where i taught about a more futuristic look for 2030 with the MyMotion and also a non car-like sled for Black Forest in Germany with the IO Insideout.
After talk with my mentors i decided to study a vehicle that will answer a new demand and use of car in the future of big cities and also being a third generation of the green car, as i called "The Car After Green". The future doesn´t exist and has to be figured out. Cities like São Paulo, Mexico City and other big ones in LatinAmerica have like many metropolis around the world many problems related to mobility. The clear solution is massive use of public transport and effective personal transportation systems. Personally I believe in the best study of transportation systems hierarquy.
Due to this scenario the weekend car will get more importance. Even being for sale or rent, this kind of car will come from many people that don't wanna keep in traffic jams. But they need car for city scapes, for outdoor activities and tourism. And they like to drive. Despite a younger generation that isn't having the same interest on cars as the past for many reasons, there is an older generation living longer and better, and active.
The package is a "everytime sports car". Sport driving position, able to face countryside roads, trunk space in front and cargo space at rear, with powertrain applied under the fenders. The result is a lightweight affordable sports vehicle, with good handling but very useful dairy.
About style, the goal was to make a new interpretation of FIAT brand: keep the friedly look, but making the round square become dynamic. Simple, friendly, affordable, pleasurable and simple to make. Provoque with a different package, different form language, unusual interior design solutions.
About the "after green" it explained by the intakes on the door. All the air that get in that, is filtered and get out in the rear panel. So the car can be self-responsible by its emissions. Eletric car doesn't has emissions itself, but the generation of energy to them have. In 10 years it is an answer of a third generation green car.
